CVE-2021-38355Network attack vector

Script execution via unescaped successimportcount output

Published Sep 10, 2021 · Updated May 2, 2025

Reflected XSS in Bug Library 2.0.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary scripts via a crafted successimportcount value. The bug-library.php page processes successimportcount without neutralizing it before incorporating the value into generated page content. Exploitation requires a victim to open an attacker-crafted request, after which the injected script runs in that victim's browser within the site's origin.
