Reflected XSS via unneutralized content parameter
Published Sep 10, 2021 · Updated May 2, 2025
Reflected XSS in Dropdown and scrollable Text 2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts via the content parameter. The plugin’s index.php reflects that request value into a generated page without neutralizing it for an HTML context. Exploitation requires a user to follow an attacker-crafted request, after which the script runs in that user’s browser under the affected site’s origin.
