Script injection via unescaped PHP_SELF reflection
Published Sep 10, 2021 · Updated May 2, 2025
Reflected XSS in Payment Gateway per Category 2.0.10 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through a crafted URL. The settings form in includes/plugin_settings.php places the request-derived PHP_SELF value into page markup without output encoding, causing path content to be interpreted as HTML. Exploitation requires a user to follow the crafted URL, after which script runs in that user's WordPress origin and can read or alter data available to the session.
