Script execution via unencoded update_row parameter
Published Sep 10, 2021 · Updated May 2, 2025
Reflected XSS in Webful Creations WordPress Simple Shop 1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to run scripts via update_row. The includes/add_product.php page returns the update_row query value in generated HTML without output encoding, allowing markup to escape its value context. Exploitation requires a victim to follow a crafted request; injected JavaScript then runs in that victim's browser under the affected site's origin.
