Browser script execution via unneutralized parameters
Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated May 5, 2025
Reflected XSS in Twitter Friends Widget 3.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject browser-executed script through crafted requests. The plugin reflects pmc_TF_user and pmc_TF_password values through twitter-friends-widget.php without neutralizing attacker-controlled markup. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted request, after which the injected script executes in that victim's browser context.
