CVE-2021-38314Network attack vector

Unauthenticated configuration disclosure via predictable AJAX actions

Published Sep 2, 2021 · Updated May 5, 2025

Information disclosure in Redux Framework 4.2.11 and earlier allows remote attackers to read WordPress configuration data via AJAX. The includes function in redux-core/class-redux-core.php registers unauthenticated actions whose names derive from predictable MD5 hashes with known salts. Attackers can calculate those action names to obtain active plugin versions, the PHP version, and a hash derived from AUTH_KEY and SECURE_AUTH_KEY.
