Unauthenticated web-service crash via unbounded urls copy
Published Mar 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Heap buffer overflow in Tenda AC10-1200 15.03.06.23_EN allows remote attackers to crash the web server via a crafted request. The saveParentControlInfo handler reads the urls POST parameter with websGetVar and passes it to strcpy without bounding the copy into a heap allocation. No authentication or user interaction is required; the demonstrated consequence is interruption of the management web service, not code execution.
