CVE-2021-38267Network attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped blog title fields

Published Mar 2, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Stored XSS in Liferay Portal 7.3.2 through 7.3.6 allows remote authenticated users to run script in another user’s browser. The shared AutoSize code writes the title or subtitle input value directly to a template element’s innerHTML property without HTML escaping; Liferay DXP 7.3 before fix pack 2 uses the same vulnerable path. A user who can edit a blog entry can store a crafted value, and another user must view the affected page for the script to execute in that viewer’s session.
