Unauthenticated code execution via template variable overwrite
Published Sep 26, 2023 · Updated Jun 18, 2025
Remote code execution in XunRuiCMS 4.5.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted GET request. The unauthenticated API template route lets GET parameters overwrite phpCMF_dir, select api_related.html, and pass a chosen callable to call_user_func_array. No account or user interaction is required; successful exploitation runs commands with the web server process permissions and can compromise hosted content and data.
