CVE-2021-38150Network attack vector

Backend credential disclosure via readable process memory

Published Sep 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Information disclosure in SAP Business Client 6.0, 6.5, 7.0, and 7.70 allows attackers with memory access to read credentials. The client leaves backend credentials readable in its process memory, but SAP has not published the responsible component or storage operation. The issue reaches all 6.0 and 6.5 patches, 7.0 through Patch 20, and 7.70 through Patch 5; exposed credentials enable backend compromise.
