Phishing redirects via unvalidated Host header
Published Sep 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Open redirect in affected Micro Focus Network Automation releases allows remote attackers to redirect users to malicious sites. The /device.save.do POST handler uses the attacker-controlled Host header to form an HTTP Location response without restricting the destination. Exploitation requires a victim to follow attacker-supplied content; the redirect supports phishing and credential theft, with no reported direct server compromise.
