Memory disclosure via malformed PPT bounds check
Published Oct 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Corel Presentations 2020 20.0.0.200 allows attackers to disclose process memory through a crafted PPT file. UAX200.dll decodes a malformed PPT structure without enforcing a required bounds check, causing data to be read beyond the intended buffer. Exploitation requires a victim to open the malicious file and exposes memory available to the application in the current user's context without enabling writes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
