Binary hijacking in Acronis Cyber Protect 15 for Windows before build 27009 allows local users to gain elevated privileges. Acronis has not published the affected executable, search path, or file-loading operation that permits replacement of the intended binary. A local low-privileged account is required, and successful hijacking runs attacker-controlled code with the privileges of the affected Acronis process.
