Improper input validation in Lenovo Notebook and ThinkPad BIOS allows local users to expose SMRAM data through a CSME SMI callback. The callback handles CSME configuration input without adequate validation, allowing protected SMRAM contents to pass outside the isolated memory range. Exploitation requires local access with elevated privileges, and the documented consequence is limited to disclosure of protected firmware memory.
