Browser script execution via OAuth bypass
Published Aug 5, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in Mattermost 5.32.0 through 5.36.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through the OAuth flow. Mattermost describes the issue only as a bypass affecting OAuth-enabled instances and has not published the vulnerable endpoint, parameter, or failed neutralization operation. Exploitation requires OAuth to be enabled and user interaction; successful script execution can read or alter data available to the victim's browser session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
