Thumbnail disclosure via missing tenant ownership check
Published Oct 4, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authorization bypass in Gila CMS 2.2.0 allows remote attackers to read other site owners' uploaded thumbnails via predictable paths. The thumbnail retrieval path accepts a site name and guessable picture name without verifying that the requester owns the referenced site. Access requires knowing another site's name and discovering a thumbnail filename; the reported consequence is disclosure of thumbnails only.
