CVE-2021-37708Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution via sendmail option concatenation

Published Aug 16, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Command injection in Shopware Platform 6.1.0 through 6.4.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands through mail settings. MailerTransportFactory concatenates core.mailerSettings.sendMailOptions directly onto the /usr/sbin/sendmail command without restricting the supplied option. Access to the administration mail configuration is required, and injected commands run with the Shopware server process's privileges.
