CVE-2021-37694Public exploit

Arbitrary Java code injection via unsanitized operationId

Published Aug 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Code injection in AsyncAPI Initiative Java Spring Cloud Stream Template before 0.7.0 allows attackers to inject Java code via a crafted operationId. The template places operationId directly into an @Bean method declaration without neutralizing braces or Java statements, allowing the field to redefine the generated method body. Exploitation requires a generator user to process an attacker-controlled AsyncAPI document, and the injected statements become executable when the generated project is built and launched.
