Application crash via null pointer dereference
Published Aug 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Null pointer dereference in TensorFlow Lite allows local users to crash applications by processing a crafted model in affected releases. BinaryBroadcastFiveFold in optimized_ops.h enters its y4-at-most-one branch without checking input1_data_ptr before scalar_broadcast_f dereferences it. Reachability requires an application to invoke an attacker-controlled model on a release before 2.3.4, 2.4.0 through 2.4.2, or 2.5.0; the bounded consequence is a process crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=< 2.3.4
