Heap data exposure or crash via unchecked ranges
Published Aug 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Improper input validation in Google TensorFlow before 2.3.4, 2.4.0 through 2.4.2, and 2.5.0 allows local users to read heap data. QuantizeV2 accepts an out-of-range axis and min_range or max_range tensors whose dimensions or element counts do not match the input, then indexes those values during quantization. Local code that invokes the operation with malformed tensors can bind a null reference, read outside heap allocations, or crash the TensorFlow process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
