Wallet fingerprinting via ordered transaction inputs
Published Feb 7, 2023 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Information disclosure in Ravencoin Core 4.3.2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to infer wallet linkage from public transactions. CWallet::CreateTransactionAll() preserves selected inputs in their original order rather than shuffling them before signing. Any observer of the public transaction stream can correlate that stable ordering with a wallet; no data modification or service interruption is reported.
