Stored script execution via unvalidated line name
Published Jul 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in NCH Axon PBX 2.22 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a crafted line name. The line-name field accepts and stores JavaScript without input validation, allowing the payload to execute when the value is rendered in the web control panel. An authenticated account is required to plant the payload, and a user must view the affected page; the script then runs in that viewer's browser context.
