Authenticated file disclosure via documentprop path traversal
Published Jul 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in NCH Quorum 2.03 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary server files through documentprop. The documentprop handler accepts ../ sequences in its file parameter and resolves them outside the document area without enforcing a path boundary. Valid Quorum credentials are required, and exposure is limited to files readable by the server process, including credential files from other NCH applications.
