Session script execution via unsanitized binary responses
Published Jul 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in OX App Suite before 7.10.3-rev32 and 7.10.4 before 7.10.4-rev18 allows remote attackers to run script. The enabled legacy dataretrieval endpoint serves attacker-supplied binary data without sanitization or output filtering, causing a browser to interpret embedded script. The component is disabled by default, and exploitation requires a victim to open a direct reference; successful execution can hijack the victim's session or trigger actions in the web interface.
