Stored script execution via unvalidated database port
Published Aug 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Chamilo 1.11.14 installation scripts allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser via the port parameter. main/install/index.php and main/install/ajax.php accepted the database-port value without enforcing an integer, allowing stored markup to reach generated page output. The installation directory must remain web-accessible, and a victim must view the affected output; successful exploitation runs script in the Chamilo origin and can access session-visible data.
