CVE-2021-37381Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated student-photo disclosure via manipulable bh parameter

Published Aug 6, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Southsoft GMIS 5.0 allows remote authenticated users to read other students' photos through a crafted request. The PotoImageShow endpoint accepts the bh student-number parameter independently of the session-derived URL signature, so changing bh selects another student's image. A normal-user session and a valid signature-bearing URL are required, and the demonstrated consequence is disclosure of student photographs.
