Stored browser script execution via Friendly Name
Published Feb 3, 2023 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Teradek Cube and Cube Pro firmware 7.3.x and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. The /cgi-bin/api.cgi endpoint stores Services.Zeroconf.friendlyname content without neutralizing an embedded SVG onload handler before the System Information page renders the value. Exploitation requires an authenticated session and a victim to view the stored value; the script then runs in that browser context.
