Arbitrary file read via pre-decode SQL filtering
Published Feb 3, 2023 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
SQL injection in Cloud Disk in ASUS RT-AC68U firmware before 3.0.0.4.386.41634 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files. In mod_webdav.c, quote filtering precedes URL decoding, so an encoded quote bypasses validation and stacked SQL statements set an arbitrary album-art path that GETMUSICCLASSIFICATION reads and returns. Cloud Disk and Digital Media Server must be enabled; successful exploitation can disclose password hashes from /etc/shadow without authentication.
