Unauthenticated username enumeration via account-check endpoint
Published Feb 3, 2023 · Updated Mar 26, 2025
Insecure access control in JeecgBoot 2.4.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to enumerate valid usernames through an API request. The /sys/user/checkOnlyUser endpoint accepts an unauthenticated username parameter and reveals whether a matching account exists. No authentication or user interaction is required; the demonstrated consequence is account discovery, not privilege escalation.
