Remote code execution via unrestricted PHP upload
Published Oct 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Sourcecodester Customer Relationship Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The create_customer action in classes/Users.php accepts the img multipart field as a .php file and exposes the stored upload beneath the web root without rejecting executable content. A low-privilege customer account is sufficient; requesting the uploaded file runs attacker-supplied commands in the web server context.
