Authenticated administrator escalation via user-controlled employee ID
Published Aug 9, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024
IDOR in FLYGO 2021.4e and earlier allows remote authenticated users to access and modify employee data and gain administrator access. The employee-management page trusts an employee ID supplied in request parameters without enforcing record-level authorization for the referenced employee. A general user account is required; changing another employee's record grants administrator privileges, after which arbitrary commands can be executed.
