Session hijacking via missing Secure cookie attribute
Published Dec 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Missing cookie protection in Digi TransPort Gateway 5.2.13.4 and earlier allows attackers to expose session cookies over HTTP. The HTTPS session-cookie response omits the Secure attribute, so a user agent can attach the sensitive cookie to a later cleartext HTTP request. Exploitation requires user interaction and access to observe that HTTP traffic; the exposed cookie enables session hijacking without reported integrity or availability impact.
