CVE-2021-37157Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Root password disclosure via plaintext configuration storage

Published Nov 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Cleartext credential storage in OpenGamePanel OGP-Agent-Linux through 2021-08-14 allows attackers to read the root password from Config.pm. agent_conf.sh writes the supplied sudo_password value directly into $HOME/OGP/Cfg/Config.pm as plaintext instead of protecting the credential. The file is set to mode 600, so disclosure requires owner access; the published exploit obtains that access through a separate authenticated command-injection path.
