CVE-2021-37151Network attack vector

Username enumeration via authentication response length

Published Sep 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Username enumeration in CyberArk Identity 21.5.131 allows remote attackers to identify valid application users through authentication API responses. The invalid-attempt path returns API responses whose lengths vary according to whether the submitted username exists. No account is required, but a qualifying MFA policy configuration must be enabled; exposed usernames facilitate targeted password guessing without revealing passwords directly.
