Service interruption via malformed NETCONF packets
Published Oct 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Huawei data communication products allows remote authenticated users to interrupt services via NETCONF packets. The device-management function fails to verify boundaries before processing device-interface-management input, permitting a write beyond the intended buffer. HTTP login access is required; a malicious NETCONF packet can cause device service exceptions, with no reported data disclosure or modification.
