Unauthenticated arbitrary file writes via path traversal
Published Dec 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Path traversal in Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary content to any file over a network. Huawei has not disclosed the affected component or the path-handling operation that fails to restrict untrusted paths. Network access without authentication or user interaction is sufficient, and successful exploitation permits file modification.
