Memory leakage in the codec detection module in Huawei EMUI 11.0.0 allows remote attackers to restart a device through memory exhaustion. The module fails to release memory after codec detection, although Huawei has not disclosed the affected allocation path or triggering input. Network access without authentication or user interaction is sufficient, and the bounded consequence is a device restart.
