Elevation of privilege in Microsoft's Windows Digital TV Tuner device registration application allows local users to gain elevated rights. Microsoft has not published the faulty function, input path, or privilege-management operation within the registration application. Exploitation requires existing low-privilege local access and no user interaction; successful use raises the attacker's rights on the host.
