Unauthenticated option changes via missing capability check
Published Oct 11, 2022 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Missing authorization in Redirection for Contact Form 7 2.4.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to alter plugin options without logging in. The publicly identified locus is only an unspecified option-update handler: it omits a capability check and accepts values that can reach footer HTML. Stored script execution requires the AccessiBe add-on to be installed, after which attacker-supplied footer content runs for site visitors.
