Reflected XSS via unsanitized post parameter
Published Oct 21, 2021 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Ivory Search 4.6.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim browser via the &post parameter. The plugin reflects attacker-controlled post input into generated web content without adequate neutralization, creating a reflected XSS response. Exploitation requires a victim to follow a crafted link and interact with the affected WordPress site; script runs with the site's browser context and can read or alter accessible page data.
