CVE-2021-36800Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via callable invoice prices

Published Aug 4, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Code injection in Akaunting 2.1.12 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP callables through crafted invoice prices. Money.php tests the submitted items[0][price] value with is_callable and directly invokes the value as a function when that test succeeds. Access requires permission to add or modify sales invoices, and successful execution runs in the web server context with a path to a host shell.
