Cluster traffic interception via globally disabled TLS verification
Published Nov 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
TLS certificate verification bypass in Siren Investigate before 11.1.4 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to intercept protected traffic. Enabling the Siren Alert cluster feature disables TLS verification globally in the main process, so TLS connections accept certificates without authenticity checks. An attacker must control a network path to a TLS peer; successful interception permits reading, altering, or interrupting protected communications.
