Stored XSS via executable SVG profile uploads
Published Aug 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in the in2code femanager extension before 5.5.1 and 6.0.0 through 6.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript. The profile-image upload allowlist accepts SVG files containing embedded JavaScript and stores them unchanged for later rendering. A logged-in frontend account and enabled image uploads are required; the script executes in the site context when another user views the attacker's profile image.
