Stored script execution via unsanitized profile social links
Published Sep 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Deskpro 2021.1.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through crafted social-media profile links. The profile editor accepts a script-bearing social-media URL without validation, stores it, and renders it in another user's browser. Exploitation requires a signed-in user to save the link and another user to view the affected profile, exposing data or actions available to that browser session.
