CVE-2021-36667Public exploit

Local command execution via unsanitized clipboard filename

Published Jul 11, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

OS command injection in Druva inSync Client before 7.0.0 allows local users to execute arbitrary commands through its local HTTP server. The copy_to_clipboard handler passes its untrusted filename parameter into os.system in a shell command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. User-level access to the macOS device is required, and injected commands run as the non-root inSync client user.
