Root privilege escalation via dynamic library injection

Code injection in Druva inSync Client before 7.0.0 allows local users to gain root privileges through a malicious dynamic library. The macOS app's entitlements exempt loaded libraries from hardened-runtime protections, so DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES injects code that reads its Keychain RPC secret. A user-level account can then authenticate to the root inSyncDecommission RPC service and invoke arbitrary file read and write methods.
