Authenticated stored script execution via filename injection
Published Aug 3, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in CMSUno 1.7 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through a theme image filename. The theme update handler accepts the intercepted tgo parameter as an image filename and publishes it into the generated site without neutralizing script markup. An authenticated dashboard session and a later visit to the published page are required, after which the injected script runs in the visitor's browser and can read or alter page-accessible data.
