Script execution via unfiltered siteURL input
Published Aug 10, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in GetSimpleCMS 3.3.16 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript through the settings.php siteURL parameter. The TSL function returns the submitted path without neutralizing script content before settings.php renders the siteURL value in the administrative page. The public verification requires the settings form to submit and render crafted content, and NVD records required user interaction with browser-context confidentiality and integrity impact.
