Stored script execution via crafted category link
Published Oct 28, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in TikiWiki 21.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in another user's browser via a crafted category. The Create category workflow in tiki-browse_categories.php stores an anchor with an entity-obfuscated javascript URL and renders it as an executable link. An account that can create categories is required, and a victim must open the category and click the injected link, enabling script execution in the site's browser context.
