Document unlocking via forged authenticated GET request
Published Aug 3, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in SeedDMS 5.1.x before 5.1.23 and 6.0.x before 6.0.16 allows remote attackers to unlock documents. The op/op.UnlockDocument.php endpoint accepts a documentid in a state-changing GET request and processes it under the victim's authenticated session without verifying request intent. A victim must remain authenticated and visit attacker-controlled content; exploitation removes the selected document's lock without reported data disclosure or service interruption.
